Beulah Stingrays Grab 3rd Place at Champs

Chesterfield Aquatic League (CAL) held their Championship meet this past Friday and Saturday at Beulah Pool with over 2000 people attending each day. The Stingrays finished 3rd in B Division behind some great performances from our swimmers.

Congratulations also go out to RACHEL DEGRABA as the winner of the 2010 CAL Scholarship.

It’s been fun season for everyone and special thanks to our coaches Julie Lesniak and Liz Waller.

Beulah at Tarrington Meet

After a 90 minute rain/thunder/lightning delay the Stingrays and Tiger sharks finally battled it out in the water. The Stingrays had best times from many of our swimmers including a 17 year old Beulah record breaking Mite Medley relay and an awesome finish in 6 & Under freestyle by Cole Ghosh! Unfortunately, the rays had to accept the loss for their last regular season meet, but scored 810 points overall.

Triple Winners included Caroline Barksdale, Rachel DeGraba, Megan Granger, Kyle Rudd, Zack Waller and Joy Woodward

Be sure to join us for CAL Champs (hosted by Beulah) on Friday and Saturday July 30 & 31.

Next Swim Meet – Tuesday, July 20

In the last regular season meet, the Stingrays will travel to Tarrington to take on the Tiger Sharks on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 6:30pm.

Coming off a loss to Summer Lake Tsunamis the Rays are looking to sting the sharks and obtain their first win before heading to Champs. Come on out and cheer on your Stingrays!!! It’s guaranteed to be exciting.

Highlands at Beulah Meet 6/29/10

Tuesday June 29,2010 brought Hurricane season in early. The Highlands Hurricanes visited the Stingrays for the last home meet at Beulah. Stingray relay teams in all age categories were awesome and very exciting! Beulah attained their highest score so far of the season with 898 points and had a 4 year old record broken in 7-8 Girls IM. Mackenzie Stoll’s time of 1.42.06 beat the previous record of 1.43.00 set by Caroline Barksdale in 2006.

Congratulations to our Quad Winners – Caroline Barksdale, Megan Granger, Morgan Thweatt, Zack Waller, Nathan Willis and Joy Woodward.

Triple Winners – Cody Bollinger, Geordan Colden, Logan Hoyt, Rory Johnston, Mackenzie Stoll, Spencer Willis, Jeff Woodward and Jill Woodward

The Stingrays will travel to Chester Recreation Association for their frst away meet of the season on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 beginning at 6:30pm. Swimmers and volunteers need to arrive by 5:30pm to check in. Beulah warm ups begin at 6:00pm. Check your handbook or the CAL website for directions.

Come out and cheer on the Stingrays!
